Should the Church ordain Women?

The liberal bishops in the Roman Catholic Church are discussing women’s ordination. The Anglicans have recently installed a female primate of all England. Many protestant churches have been ordaining women since the 1970’s. Might there be a reason for this happening only in the last two generations?

But what does the Bible say? Is there a message from nature to direct us? What about the church fathers? Can we know the will of God?

This video takes you through what Christianity believes about God’s revelation as basis for ethics. Then the current approach in ethics will be explained. Changing truths and morals over which man presides, where does it come from? How did we come to think this way?

Then we will consider women’s ordination. What do the holy Scriptures actually teach on this topic? How did the Church receive this teaching? Is there a relation between our view of nature and Scripture authority on the one hand, and our openness to women’s ordination on the other?
